'New Years Reflections'

Hi all,

Just a quick note to say this free resource discussion based game is available from Lindsay at -

(Downloadable cards are available)

It would make a great CST activity session, promoting meaningful reflection and recollections of memories of events of the last year.

For people with more severe cognitive impairment, perhaps answering the questions might be more beneficial if friends and supporters can assist with recall.

A nice idea for playing the game would be to write down the best answer from a group, so the cards reflect the group's experience of the year as a whole. Maybe then it could be put on a string for display?

Alternatively, it would make a great game to play on New Years Eve with family and friends.

Hope you enjoy. And thanks again Lindsay.

Here is what Lindsay says about her game ...

New Year's Eve is the perfect time to reflect on the past year and celebrate the possibilities of the new year ahead. Traditionally, we set resolutions and goals to work on for the next 365 days (or so), others come up with "one little word" as a type of motto to live by. I've never had much luck with resolutions, so this year I wanted to be able to really stop and take some time to reflect on the things that have happened over this past year.

These New Year's Eve Reflection Questions aren't so much questions as they are prompts to get you and your family, friends, and/or party guests talking about this past year and hopes for the new year! It's a fun way to bring back some moments you may have forgotten, and to get to know each other a little better. Kids will also have a fun time hearing funny or interesting stories, and sharing their own!

I'm sure we all spent a lot of time sharing memes, jokes, and watching strange and hilarious viral videos along the way. That's why I made sure to throw in a few cards so you can keep sharing the laughs.

I'm really excited to get these cards out at our New Year's Eve party this weekend and hear all the different answers shared from my friends and family about their year.
