Here is a short and sweet Dementia Cafe CST session, just for fun.

Begin by asking members whether they like eggs and how they prefer them to be cooked?

Next, complete these idioms together ...

As sure as eggs is EGGS

Egg on your FACE

Don’t count your chickens before they HATCH

Put all your eggs in one BASKET

Kill the goose that laid the GOLDEN EGG

You can’t make an omelette without breaking a few EGGS

Walking on egg SHELLS

Smell like rotten EGGS

He’s no spring CHICKEN

Pecking ORDER

Rule the ROOST

Mother HEN

Free range EGGS

Egg somebody ON

A chicken and egg SITUATION

Build up a nest EGG

Running around like a headless CHICKEN

Why did the chicken cross THE ROAD?

Go to work on an EGG

'How D'Ya Like Your Eggs In The Morning'

Then, ask members to identify these egg dishes ...

& vote for their top three favourites ...

'Chick Chick Chicken, Lay A Little Egg For Me'

Ad break ...

Name the two actors?

Next, ask members to identify these other eggy things ...

Then there's this ...

Finally, here are the egg dishes answers, in the form of a Word Search ...

Here is a printable PDF version ...

The next answers are ...

Tony Hancock & Patricia Hayes

Chick, Hen, Cockerel

Egg timer, Egg cup, Whisk

Cadbury's Creme Egg, Easter Eggs, Mini Eggs

Finally, you could do the chicken dance together ...

And if you have any time left, here are a few more songs which have been recommended by colleagues ...

'Hey Little Hen, When When When'

Tom Jones 'The Funky Chicken'

'There Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens'

'I Am The Walrus (I Am The Eggman)'

Ask members if they have any clue what these lyrics are about?
